Day Seventeen - Dyrham - Bath

Apri 29

We start the day at home in Batheaston with a wonderful breakfast of homemade bread and muffins, machiattos, green bean hummus, roasted tomatoes, avocado, yoghurt and fruit. Delicious!

K+A open their parting gifts from us; a National Trust boot scraper and a ceramic flower vase made by local artisan potters in Aberreron.

One last chance for a National Trust property, so after breakfast, we head to Dyrham Park, an ancient deer park, and 17th century house and garden.
The chuch on the grounds, St. Peters, dates back to the 13th century and is where the original Blathwayt family are buried....

The house is surrounded by 274 acres of gardens and park land with deer roaming freely on the hillside.

For lunch we decide on one of our favourites in Bath, Cafe Lucca....and as usual it does not disappoint!
