Day Ten - Pembrokeshire

After an amazing breakfast at the Mansion Guest House in Fishguard, we continue through Pembrokeshire on the A487 towards St Davids to look around the town and visit the Cathedral.

We park and walk into town to visit the 12th century Cathedral and Bishops Palace which is situated within a stone wall that surrounds the church grounds

Cardigan
Leaving St Davids, we continue back north on the A487 and stop at Cardigan for coffee and tea at Coffee#1

Porthgain
Continuing on the A487 we arrive at Porthgain to view the site of the 19th century slate mines and harbour built to transport slate and bricks from the large slate processing and brickworks factory that was active from 1850 to 1931.

After a delicious lunch at the Shed restaurant, we embarked on a cliff side walk to take in the magnificent views from atop the craggy cliffs



















Aberaeron
We continued north up the A487 past Fishguard to Aberaeron to our accommodation at the Harbourmaster Hotel

This amazing boutique hotel is located at the quayside in a charming Georgian seaside village.


We enjoy another wonderful dinner in the restaurant part of the hotel, then retire after a very fulfilling day.
